“Solid value for for price” 2009-10-03
By S. Ware (SF Bay Area)
I’m not sure if this will heat a room but it’s more than adequate for what I need it for. I’ve got it in an 8x10 home office setup where it sits underneath my desk which is configured as an L-shaped workstation. It does wonders for keeping bare feet and legs warm on cold hardwood floors. Once it get’s going, I keep it about 1-2 feet away on full blast which keep me toasty but not too toasty. My only minor complaint is that is it a little louder than I was expecting…similar to a fan or the sound you get in a computer room, but if I’m listening to music, I don’t really notice it.

 “Great Heater!” 2009-09-27
By Jonathan (New York, NY)
Incredible little heater, it is completely silent and very efficient in heating even a medium sized room. The best thing about this portable heater is that it doesn’t make the room have that burned smell that many other heaters emit. The air smells fresh and the heat is warm and soothing, not stale. No cartridges or replacement filters or oils needed. So it’s a one-time purchase and works great!

“Nice little heater, but short life span.” 2009-09-26
By SCF (Portland, OR United States)
I bought this last year and used it through the winter as a supplemental heat source in my 14x14 home office. It puts out reasonable heat with low noise and a small foot-print. It seems to compare adequately to other heaters of its size and price range.

Unfortunately, mine died after the first winter. While the fan operates in “fan” mode, neither the fan nor the heating elements operate when turned to a heat setting. I hope mine is a rare experience and that others get a greater life-span with their heater, but this is something to keep in mind if you want a robust heater that will last for years to come.

This also comes with a three year warranty. I did not pursue remediation through this warranty simply because I could not justify the time and energy to contact customer support, get an RMA, pack it, ship it, wait for a replacement. Given the price, it was better for me to just buy another heater. And that’s what I do.

And that’s another thing to point out. While I’m disappointed with the life-span of my particular unit, I was generally pleased enough with it while it operated to just fork over the cash for a replacement via Amazon for this upcoming winter. I hope this unit lasts a long time, but if it doesn’t, the $20-$30 spent on it will be far less than I would have spent on the cost of operating the furnace (which heats up every room whether I’m occupying it or not).

 “Works great” 2009-09-25
By Samatha (San Diego, CA United States)
My office cube is so cold I needed a heater to keep from freezing. Wanted something small and with little noise. This heater is perfect. It works great, really puts out the heat. I keep it on the low setting, otherwise it gets too warm, so it can heat a much larger space. I highly recommend it.

 “Quiet, lightweight, compact” 2009-09-23
By Chaconia Girl (Trinidad)
Lasko 754200 Ceramic Heater with Adjustable Thermostat I was pleased with this product. It is quiet, compact, and has a variety of heat settings. I use it to dry my dogs after their bath. Better than having to stand over them with the noisy hair dryer. They love it.

“A Stick Of Gum That Plays Music” 2009-07-17
By Jeannie Voong
I have an older Nano that I really enjoy, but wanted to get a new one for the video and photo features. (Mine is the older older one). The design of this Nano is very thin and light, which I love, and the screen, although small, does allow me to carry photos and video around with me.

I have really enjoyed having this and all the music and video right with me, slips easily into a pocketbook and seems to be the size of a stick of gum just about, Until you hold one, it words really do not show how thin it is.

I do use my older Nano and shuffle for working out, since I have things to hold them and they seem a bit “tougher.” It is not that I have had any issues with the new one, I have just sort of fell into using it for different things.

Some of the older items will not work with this, but it really is a completely different design. For the features it added to what I had, it was a good purchase.

“a good mix between shuffle and touch” 2009-07-16
By Heather Craig
I like this iPod because it gives me all the “visual” elements of an iPod with the small size, like an iPod Touch, which lets me take it to the gym (or anywhere) with ease.

Do you really need an iPod touch? That’s what I asked myself. The games are nice, but the utility isn’t there.

Worth a look, especially if you workout.

 “another great ipod” 2009-07-15
By nancy music lover
My 14 year old daughter had worn out her mini, and got this one for her birthday. She loves it! Will know better how it performs after school has started and it goes back and forth on the bus everyday. Like the long size (i have the tiny Ipod video). Feels good in the hand, but not tiny enough to get lost. Would not fit on her old ipod speakers-wouldn’t fit in the dock space. Used her b-day money to get new speakers. You can’t charge the Ipod with a plug, only computer or ipod speakers. Only problem-older Ipods would show the battery charge icon, this one only has a tiny icon at the top of the screen, but it did charge. Probably saves on battery life to do it that way. Amazon had the best price, $133. and free ship.

The world’s smallest digital music player, the 1GB iPod shuffle lets you wear up to 240 songs on your sleeve. Or your lapel. Or your belt. Clip on iPod shuffle and wear it as a badge of musical devotion. You know what they say about good things and small packages. But when something 1.62 inches long and about half an ounce holds up to 240 songs, “good” and “small” don’t quite cut it. Especially when you can listen to your music for up to 12 continuous hours. In fact, iPod shuffle just may be the biggest thing in small.Clip it to your coin pocket. Clip it to your bag. No matter where you clip your skip-free iPod shuffle, you’ll have instant access to music. And iPod shuffle’s anodized aluminum enclosure goes with absolutely everything. Put it on, turn it up, and turn some heads.Got more than 240 songs in your iTunes library? No problem. Let iTunes autofill your iPod shuffle and get a new musical experience every time.  “Best mp3 player at any price” 2009-07-15
By paul ramone (ca)
No screen. And if an album plays straight through, sometimes there is a slight pause during song-to-song transition.
But, I can use this all day without recharging and it clips to my shirt collar, waistband, eyelid, nostril, unmentionable body part, etc.
It won’t skip. It rarely acts buggy. It even comes with decent quality earphones. Not Grado full size headphone quality, but they’re essentially free.
And mp3 and apple aac compression is so good in 2009 that I don’t really feel any need to use lossless encoding or break out a cd player.
They cost about as much as a cheap date and they never say no. ever.
Just buy one.

(By the way, don’t by the more expensive newer shuffle. It sucks.)

 “Nice little mp3” 2009-07-14
By L. Battaglia
It took alot of playing with this device to figure out how to load tunes. The manual is pretty much useless and I consider both my husband and I pretty good at tech things. Some other people told me the same concern and even told me that you could’nt load cd’s. Once we did figure it out, it is really very easy to load. The sound quality is great and just right for someone who just wants a player for just music. Ended up being very happy with the purchase. Got a second one for just my classical collection!

 ‘You won’t regret it’ 2009-06-19
By Kendall Wright (Greenville, SC USA)
I bought this TV 3 months ago to use as a monitor for my computer and PlayStation 3 80GB.

I am very pleased with its performance, I currently run it at 1360 by 768. I had to adjust the graphics card settings to center it. Despite what I have read about needing 1080 for monitor use, it looks flawless and runs smooth. I sit about 3 feet from it.

It also works perfectly with my PS3. The games look great, the blue-rays look even better. I cannot compare this to other LCD’s but I have never seen a flaw while using this with a game.

As far as the various features of the screen, I have not used them extensively. I hooked a VGA up to the back along side a HDMI for the PS3. I put a line out from its headphone jack to my Logitech Z-4I 2.1 Speaker System, which put the TV’s speakers to shame.

This TV is not much bigger than our tube, which is 30 inch, but its seems so much bigger. Partially because you can sit closer to it, and partially because almost everything is wide-screen these days.

I haven’t used it for broadcast TV, I use Hulu extensively. It plays 480p well. Between movies, games, and websites like Hulu, I no longer watch TV

Hi I am Newbies

When I got this item I was very impressed with the picture quality, but then after six months the picture started going out for a few minutes now and then. It would recover on its own, but then it went out for good. So I looked online and found that Samsung TV’s have this problem quite a bit and good luck getting service. So I tried setting up service online but there online support center doesn’t work for much of anything other than downloading user manuals. Other functionality ends up in a loop or with nothing. So I called their service department just now, and based on what people have reported I don’t expect to get speedy service or maybe any service, but even if they fixed this tomorrow there is no excuse for a TV to go bad after 6 months of light usage. My other TV’s are 15-20 years old and have had no problem ever..’

The lens is nice and light weight but kind of slow to focus and the focus isn’t as sharp as I would’ve thought. I have trouble with my eyesight so I really rely on on my autofocus. What looks great through the lens doesn’t always look so hot in production on my computer. I’m sure there’s a bit of a leaning curve and I’ll probably get used to it and compensate for it. Can’t beat the price.

First, let me say that I loved RE4. I’ve played all the RE games, most more than once. The first one and RE4 are my favs. So I was hoping for greatness. This game is good, not great. Yes, the graphics are amazing. Beautiful to look at. However, the locations/sets are pretty boring, especially compared to former games. It just felt bland and repetitive. As for the gameplay, it was fun for the most part, but there are many instances where it was just plain frustratingly annoying. I like a lot of a……

I’ll be very honest. When I first heard they were putting co-op in Resident Evil 5, I was more than skeptical. Heck, I thought that they were breaking the game, because it would no longer be survival horror, but just another action type game. RE and Co-Op, in my mind, was a bust.

Anyhow, I was finally convinced by a friend to buy it, so we could play together. I now admit how wrong I was - co-op is freaking awesome. True, the game is now less about “surprise” scares, and more abo……

I bought this game first on the PS3. If the PS3 is your only option, that’s fine its a fantastic game (check out my review for the 360 version). As for the differences between the PS3 and Xbox 360 version, the PS3 version suffers a bit to slower loading and drops in frame rates when using automatic weapons on crowds of enemies for instance. The details are a little sharper, and in dark areas the PS3’s graphics are better than the 360’s. However if you really want to look forward to this game in ……
